Farming Volunteer Programs

Price From N/A

The Farming volunteer program is a fun and enjoyable way to help the local communities while gaining valuable hands-on experiences and developing lifetime relationships. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in a local family farm. You will learn the agricultural practices and techniques of local farmers and assist them in their daily duties. If you have agricultural experience, it also gives you the opportunity to share your knowledge with the farmers who will benefit from it.

Project Life

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our friendly representative will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign displaying your name. He will then drive you to your hotel. You will spend one night in Kathmandu and then be transferred to the farm. Once you have arrived, you will have time to relax and settle in before starting your volunteer project.

During your farming volunteer program, you will work with the local farmers and assist them in their daily duties. Depending on the season, you will do many different jobs, from digging the field, milking the buffaloes, to planting rice, or cutting grown rice, and so much more.

You will also become immersed in the culture and language. If you are interested in teaching English at a community school, it is also possible during this program.

Therefore, volunteers should respect the values and aims of the local communities, and be committed and reliable. Volunteers do not need any specific skills or qualifications, but should have a keen interest in agriculture.
